A Saratoga Springs Man Got Out Of Jail And Allegedly Beat A Woman

A 26 year-old man from Saratoga Springs that was in jail was released after he posted bail. After that, he went to a woman’s apartment, forced his way in and allegedly beat her. She is the mother of his child, and he allegedly did this in front of their infant. It’s believed that this happened on Thursday, June 27, 2013.

I saw the story in the Times Union. According to Saratoga County Officials, Frank G. Shattuck was in jail for something that happened involving the same woman.

A couple of good samaritan neighbors in an adjacent apartment heard the woman’s screams, and came to her apartment. They got a hold of Shattuck and held him until the police arrived.

After the woman went to Glens Falls Hospital to get treated for serious facial injuries, she was sent to Albany Medical Center. Shattuck was sent back to jail, this time without bail. He’s scheduled to be arraigned in Galway Town Court.

I have a feeling that this story is going to strike a nerve with a lot of people, and for good reason.
