A local dentist will provide dozens of area kids with braces, using their top of the line digital equipment. In some cases these types of services can cost anywhere from $5,000 to $6,500 but this local orthodontic team will be providing braces - and the follow up treatments - for FREE!

The Adirondack Orthodontics is teaming up with nonprofit organization Smiles Changes Lives to provide free dental work for children in need, resulting in up to 25 different area kids receiving the free work.

“The reality is that orthodontic care can be costly. Very often insurance does not cover it. The nice thing is these are lifelong benefits,” Dr. Sergey Berenshteyn said.

According to News 10 ABC, families should visit Adirondack Orthodontics’ website at www.adirondackorthodontics.com. There, they are asked to complete a brief online form providing information regarding their individual situation. Those that meet the initial qualifications for the program will be invited to a screening event on Saturday, October 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Adirondack Orthodontics’ Latham office, 713 Troy-Schenectady Road, Suite 127, where they will be assessed by Dr. Berenshteyn and his team of orthodontists.
