24 Returns To Fox TV Next May – Kiefer Sutherland Is Back As Jack Bauer!

I loved 24. It was one of those few shows that you made sure you watched every week as soon as it was on. The real time drama was great and the writing always made sure that you stayed on the edge of your seat. It’s amazing all the events that can take place in just one 24 hour period.

So if you were like me, you were a little bit devastated when they decided to end the show. Well now it’s back! However it may be a little different this time. In fact maybe they should rename it 12. According to EW.com, Fox will be using the re-boot as a Summer “filler” and it will only have 12 episodes instead of the 24 from before.

According to producers, unlike the original series that depicted each hour in succession in the life of Jack Bauer, the new show will “jump” around in the day. They thought that it would work because when they looked back on the show they felt that the “big events” really happened every two hours or so. I guess if I’m reading into this right it means the 12 episode series will be jam packed with excitement from start to finish.

At the end of the 12 episodes Fox will then launch a new mini-series from famed film director and producer, M. Night Shyamalan which will star, you guessed it… Kiefer Sutherland.
