If skiing or snowboarding just isn't your thing, you can still enjoy winter in the New York mountains on a mountain coaster. Which mountain would you like to fly down? There's four to choose from.
If you are looking for a thrill ride this winter then you are going to want to head to Lake Placid and do some serious sledding. It's just two-and-a-half hours from the Capital Region to the Toboggan Chute, the longest in New York state!
If you are looking for something cool and different to do this winter, head on up to the Lake Geroge region and check out the many ice bars they have to offer. There are full frozen bars you can sit at, enjoy ice luges, fire pits surrounded by ice, and even photo-ops with ice sculptures you can get in or pose with.
Winter is here and there is nothing more fun, in my opinion than finding the biggest hill and going sledding on. You can get some serious sledding in just two-and-a-half hours from the Capital Region at the Lake Placid Toboggan Chute.
There is nothing like flying down snow or ice-covered hills when you are sledding. Wouldn't it be even cooler to speed down the longest toboggan chute in New York State? This isn't for the faint of heart. It's been in operation since the 1960s and it's only a two and a half-hour drive from the Capital Region.
