NY Daily News' Yankees' beat writer Gary Phillips joined 'The Drive' this week, and spoke about New York's offseason additions, including Siena's Matt Gage.
He stands six foot, six inches tall. On top of a regulation collegiate baseball pitchers mound, make that seven and a half feet and he is listed at 245 pounds. Siena's #47 throws from the left side and with his imposing size, can be a challenge for any hitter. Niagara University certainly found that out last Saturday.
The Albany Cup is returning and it should be. Siena College and the University at Albany officially announced the return of the premier Capital Region men's basketball series at a joint press conference Tuesday at 677 Prime in downtown Albany. Both athletic directors have confirmed for months on The Drive with Charlie & Dan that they were working towards an agreement. The three-year deal tips off at the newly renamed MVP Arena next season.
