Chances are if you got your tax refund from the IRS it is already gone. But there is some hope to see a surprise tax refund that could be deposited in your bank account starting this week. This is because some taxpayers overpaid taxes on their unemployment compensation in 2020.

Since last June, there were restrictions in place to make sure that New Yorkers were following protocols while traveling during the coronavirus pandemic. Governor Cuomo had set a two-week quarantine on those who traveled outside of New York. This meant that anyone returning to the state must stay isolated for fourteen days. As of Thursday, April, 1st, that is over.

Last year around this time, everything started to get canceled. The majority of those were live sports. If you paid for a specific channel or a live sporting event, you have some money coming to you. A deal has been reached with seven cable providers to give New Yorkers the refund they deserve for sporting events they paid for but never received during COVID.

If I could book a flight and go on vacation, I would do it in a heartbeat. I think I speak for almost everyone when I say I need a vacation. I just want to fly somewhere to get away for a while. We have been cooped up too long. Now the Centers For Disease Control (CDC) may make it even easier.

Vaccinations are underway across New York state, but Governor Cuomo announced that it would take nearly fourteen weeks to get just the first two groups vaccinated. Then how long will it take to get others vaccinated? Seems like a slow process.

Move over Florida, New Yorkers may be staying within the state to retire.
