An Upstate New York roller rink has been named to the New York Historic Business Preservation Registry. Many may be asking, "What took so long?"

There is something being built in New York state that will instantly take you back to your childhood if you grew up in the seventies and eighties. The largest outdoor roller skating rink is being built in Western New York and opens in August. It will be worth the four-hour drive on the Thruway to enjoy this amazing roller rink.

As a kid, in the '80s, my sisters and I used to go to Guptill's Skating Arena every weekend. It was really cool to see that rollerskating is making a come back and a national show highlighted our very own Guptill's that is the oldest running rink in America.
