New York State Path Through History
New York State has a long and illustrious history. The NYS Path Through History gives you the opportunity to learn about this history and visit over 500 destinations across the State.
More than 370 special events are planned for the Path Through History Weekends, which are happening this weekend and next at locations throughout the State. Path Through History Weekends are designed to make it easy to experience attractions like science museums, homes of former presidents and artists, living history recreations and former battlefields.
Discounted or free admission along with hands-on activities and special interest tours are being offered during these weekends. Many historic districts and parks will also be hosting festivals, often with live music, crafts and local foods. Path Through History markers have been placed on major State highways as well as local signs with the Path Through History logo to help point the way.
The Path Through History website can help you plan a day trip, weekend getaway or extended vacation and provides a full list of Path Through History sites along with information about each one.
