It appears that the Capital Region caught the eye of one of television's most famous space explorers.

We all know that this summer has been insane when it comes to traveling. They've been reporting on busy airports since the end of May and it doesn't appear to be letting up anytime soon.

Chances are if you are flying you're going to have to eat at the airport. If you're flying out of Albany International Airport the food is kind of limited. You have your choice of Chick-fil-A, Burger King, Starbucks, and a couple of bars. There are also a couple of quick stop shop places that have premade sandwiches and candy and other snacks. There isn't much to go around.

It appears that at some point busy travelers ate up all of one item at Burger King and it caught the eye of a certain officer from the USS Enterprise.

I have to say, I didn't know a triple Whopper was even a thing but apparently it is, and I guess it was in high demand.

Also, I don't quite understand how they could be out of the triple whopper but not the double or the single? Couldn't you just stack three patties on top of each other and call it a day? I digress.

George Takei has become quite the social media personality and share humorous posts on his accounts regularly. I guess we caught his eye. Is it good? Sure. Is it slightly embarrassing that we ate that many triple whoppers? Absolutely.
