Outside of his family, there are two other things in life that Eddie Olczyk loves most: pucks and ponies.

Olczyk, a veteran of over 1,000 games in the National Hockey League, and a Stanley Cup champion with the New York Rangers in 1994, joined The Drive with Dan Bahl on Thursday afternoon to preview the 2024 Preakness Stakes.

Following his playing career, which lasted 16 NHL seasons and included stops with six franchises, Olczyk transitioned to the broadcast booth, where he worked as an analyst for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

After a brief stint as the head coach of the Penguins, Olczyk returned to the booth with his hometown Chicago Blackhawks, a position he held from 2006 through 2022. He was also a hockey analyst for NBC from 2007 through 2021, working alongside legendary play-by-play voice Mike "Doc" Emrick.
