One of the funniest comedy troupes in the world is coming to the Capital Region this month, and ahead of their upcoming performance, we caught up with one of its members on 104.5 The Team.

Three comedians --- James Murray, Sal Vulcano and Brian Quinn --- who together are known as the Impractical Jokers, will be performing at Saratoga Performing Arts Center on Saturday, July 20th.

It was over 12 years ago, on December 15, 2011, that their hidden camera prank show, Impractical Jokers, debuted on truTV. Fast forward to 2024, and Season 11 of the show is set to premiere on Thursday.

This season will air solely on TBS, the first time that the show has ever aired original episodes on another network besides truTV.

Before the show began, Murray, Vulcano, Quinn and Joe Gatto were all friends, and classmates, from Monsignor Farrell High School in Staten Island, New York. Vulcano, Murray and Gatto were all original members of the comedy troupe they formed in 1999, The Tenderloins. After two other members of the group departed, Brian Quinn joined the group in 2006.

After filming an unaired television pilot in 2008 for another network, they took their talents to truTV in 2011, and as they say, the rest is history.
