Wilson's father had been sick a while back, but he is doing much better now, and Wilson's parents are huge country music fans as well.

The cool thing about country music is, we are all one big happy family.

So it's no surprise that with Wilson's parents being such fans of the genre, and their daughter being at the top of it currently, Wilson's parents might want to cash in on that side of her fame and meet some of their idols.

Wilson was a recent guest on Taste of Country Nights With Evan Paul, and I asked her if her parents have gotten to meet anyone famous yet since Wilson became uber-famous herself.

The "Hang Tight Honey" singer delivered a funny story. Wilson said, "My daddy, you know, he'll take a little picture, just to show his buddies back home, I'm like, 'Can you please not do that, that's my friend now, they're gonna get us kicked out of here.'"

Wilson then went into further detail about one particular incident with her folks meeting Miranda Lambert.

"Like, Miranda invited us to a party at Casa Rosa, downtown, it was after the CMAs, um, and I remember my daddy like, literally walked in, and he just like, walked up straight to her and hugged her by the neck, and he's like, 'Can you get our picture?'"

Wilson said her reply back to her dad in that moment was, "Can you be cool?"

This was all said with laughter and genuine love, as you could tell that Wilson simply adores her parents and her position atop country music.
