Jelly Roll’s Son Makes a Rare Public Appearance at Kid’s Choice Awards [Photos]

It was family night for Jelly Roll and his two children -- Bailee Ann DeFord and Noah Buddy DeFord -- at the 2024 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday night (July 13.)

Jelly -- who was a nominee at presenter at the awards show, and also got slimed onstage -- walked the red carpet with his 16-year-old daughter Bailee and seven-year-old son Noah. The family matched in denim outfits, and little Noah gave a sweet thumbs up and a big smile to cameras on the carpet.

Fans already know and love Bailee, who joined her dad on the Grammys red carpet earlier this year. She's also a fixture in social media posts from Jelly's wife Bunnie Xo, who raises Bailee alongside her country star husband. Bailee has also been a guest on Bunnie's podcast, where the young girl opened up about her tumultuous relationship with her birth mother.

But Noah doesn't make many public appearances, despite the fact that he's a regular presence in his famous dad's life.

That's because Noah's custodial parent is his mother, Melisa, and Jelly makes sure to respect her boundaries about what is and isn't okay to share about their son's life. While Jelly and Bunnie have full custody of Bailee, the singer is raising Noah in partnership with his mom, so they work together to protect his privacy.

"With Bailee, I'm the full-time parent, I'm the judge, the jury and the executioner when it comes to decisions with her," Jelly explained during an interview with Taste of Country Nights.

"I try not to get in the way of what she (Melisa) is building over there, and I never want to step on her toes, with what she's doing with him, that I want to just respect that boundary," he continues.

The family members all work together and are on friendly terms, and when Melisa's comfortable with it, Jelly and Bunnie love sharing snippets into their life with Noah. As Jelly took his two children to the Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday, Bunnie shared a red carpet photo of the three of them, captioning the image "Daddy date night!"
