Dollywood Edges Out Disney in New List of Top Attractions

Dolly Parton is Queen Bee when it comes to theme parks across the United States. The country singer's amusement park, Dollywood, has been named Tripadvisor's No. 1 Amusement & Water Park for 2024, edging out Disney World.

Tripadvisor recently released the 2024 edition of the Traveler's Choice Awards Best of the Best list. The results are gleaned from the reviews and ratings from the very travelers visiting these places during a 12-month period.

"Of our 8 million listings, fewer than 1 percent achieve this milestone," the website states.

Dollywood is the Best Amusement and Water Park in the U.S.

Dollywood received a 4.5 rating from nearly 19,000 reviews. Coming in at No. 2 on the list was Magic Kingdom Park at Disney World, followed by Fun Spot America at No. 3. Universal Islands of Adventure and Fun Spot America Orlando rounded out the top five.

"Wow!! I was so impressed with the entire theme park, especially the Dolly Parton Experience, I didn't want to leave," one review reads. "Thank you Dolly for providing such a fun experience."

"The park was beautiful with lots of flowers and areas where we could get out of the sun (on the 90 plus degree day)," another writes. "This park surpasses all other theme parks that I have been to. It had something for everyone in our family. The kids loved the rides and my husband and I enjoyed the scenery and the historical buildings and shopping. My favorite part of the entire day was the new Dolly Parton Experience!!!"

"This is a fun place for a family. There is a lot of amazing rides, shows and games. I love this place and is a recommended place to go to for a trip," another review states.

Dollywood is One of the Top 10 Amusement Parks in the World

In addition to her No. 1 ranking in America, Parton received high praise on a global level. Dollywood is featured at No. 10 on Tripadvisor's Amusement & Water Parks - World list.

Disneyland Paris in France, Siam Park in Spain and Ferrari World Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates were in the top three on the global list.
