Australia has recently coined the term “Netflix Cheating”, and I bet a lot of you are guilty of it (I know I am!)

Have you ever watched a show on Netflix with your significant other? Maybe it was your show, something you both looked forward to every night after dinner or when you got home from work. Yes? Okay good. Now, have you ever been alone, maybe your husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend is out of town, and you try so hard not to give in, but you *gasp* watch the show anyway? THIS my friends, is Netflix Cheating.

The top “cheating shows” for Australians are American Horror Story, House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, Narcos and Black Mirror. For Americans, OITNB and House of Cards also fall into the top cheaters, but so do Stranger Things, Daredevil and Arrested Development.

If you’re like me you’re guilty of Netflix Cheating, but pretend that you aren’t. I’ve definitely watched ahead an episode or two (or a whole season) but when my boyfriend is ready to watch again, I act like it’s the first time I’ve seen it. He’s also a HUGE offender of this, but I always know and never really care. However in Australia, people are breaking up left and right over this.

I really wonder if there’s anyone I know who actually cares about this. I mean, it’s just Netflix, it’s not going anywhere. What do you think, would you feel betrayed after the discovery of Netflix Cheating?
