1992- Wynonna lands her first No. 1 as a solo artist with 'She Is His Only Need.'

1981- David Frizzell, the brother of Lefty Frizzell, and Shelly West, the daughter of Dottie West, go to No. 1 with 'You're The Reason God Made Oklahoma.'  Clint Eastwood has a hand in getting the two to cut the song for his movie "Any Which Way You Can."

1953- Hank Williams, Sr. is sitting on top of the world and the Billboard Country charts with 'Your Cheatin' Heart.'


Steve Azar, 1964.  Steve breaks through with 'I Don't Have To Be Me ('Til Monday)'in 2001.  After several recordings fail to make an impact throughout the rest of the decade,  he bounces back in 2010 with 'Sunshine.'
