Waterford Building Owner Paints Building Pink [VIDEO]

In 2012, a man bought a former adult living facility at 89 Vanderwerken Ave. in Waterford and wanted to turn it into luxury apartments. The neighbors objected to his plans and he finally dropped it and let the building fall into disrepair including letting the lawn become overgrown, there is a broken fence and bent flagpole as well. The Town Supervisor said there isn't a who lot that they can do about the building's current color because it is private property, but the neighbors aren't happy. The county said if the property taxes of about $40,000 are over due and if they aren’t paid in full by September, it will be foreclosed and put up for auction.
