The Need Continues In Schoharie: Fire Department Benefit [AUDIO]

You can’t even imagine the work that lies ahead for these poor people in Schoharie County, and we want to do what we can here to publicize events whenever possible.  There’s an upcoming fire department benefit dance that I’d like to draw your attention to…

Lisa Boomhower , the Gallupville Fire Department EMS Captain, sent me this, so I will give it to you verbatim:

The Benefit Dance will be held Saturday November 5th, 2011 from 7:00 – Midnight at the Gallupville Fire Station.  A local DJ – Brett Sharpe is donating his services for the evening.  There is a $10.00 suggested donation for admission.  There will be refreshments served.  All the proceeds will go directly to Schoharie Fire Department for their rebuilding efforts.

If you’d like to know exactly what happened to their structure, there was a good article at CBS6.com.  They were very hard hit, and how can you have a town without a working fire department?   We urge everyone in the area to support this effort.    Thanks in advance!
(and if someone would like to send me a shot of the fire department as it looks right now, I ‘ll post it on here!)
BONUS:  Hear the song that Schoharie Elementary kids  wrote and performed with other area children at recent event
