As If I didn't already feel old, I was looking up some information online and came across a story on Yahoo.com that one of my favorite video game systems back in the day, the Atari 2600 had turned 35 years old yesterday. Granted I was only a year old when it came out but a few years later I would spend many an afternoon enjoying some great video games.

Compared to now, these games don't match up with what is out there on the X-Box and Playstation consoles, but this was the early 80's and this was pure high tech stuff! Here are just a few of my favorite games I would spend hours playing in my living room.

1. Pitfall

This was probably one of my all time favorite Atari games. Trying to get Pitfall Harry through the jungle collecting treasure and trying not to get eaten by alligators. It's stood the test of time too as various sequels have been made over the years on other video game systems. If you have an iPhone, you can play it on there.

2 River Raid.

Nothing better for a young mind then blowing a bunch of stuff up! I loved this game!

3. The Adventures Of Tron

I was a huge fan of the movie and I was equally addicted to the video game.

4. Real Sports Baseball

I have had a baseball game on every video console I have ever owned and this was the one that started it all! My brother-in-law and I was battle it out on a constant basis.

5. E.T: The Extra Terrestrial

This has been named one of the worst video games of all time, but back in the day I loved it. I would get so fustrated when the Scientist or FBI Agent would come out of nowhere and pretty much make it game over for me.

Sure I could have picked Pac-Man, Space Invaders or Asteroids but everybody had those game and everybody like them. These were the more out of the box choices that not everbody had. So what were you're favorite Atari video games back in the day?
