Just 5 days until 1077 'GNA's Countryfest 2012 is here. It's going to be a great day at the Times Union Center in Albany kicking off at Noon with our free Countryfest Street Party on Pearl Street.

We are less than a week away from the biggest party of the summer, Countryfest 2012 is this Saturday (7/9). We've got a great lineup that includes Headliner Eric Church, Joe Nichols, Thompson Square and Josh Thompson. Can't forget the free outdoor portion of the show that has many great local bands as well as rising star Dustin Lynch.

Countryfest's Thompson Square has had an incredible journey over the past few years. The duo met at a Nashville karaoke bar, landed a record deal, got married, scored a No. 1 hit with 'Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not,' won a few awards and now continue to see their family grow.

Eric Church is coming to town on July 7th to rock us all at 1077 'GNA's Countryfest 2012 at the Times Union Center with special guests Joe Nichols, Thompson Square and Josh Thompson. I found some really cool facts about Eric that you might not have known.

Joe Nichols is a great country singer and now he's a dad too. One thing he's never shied away from is a good party and he has relayed that message through a lot of his great songs that he will crank up for you at 1077 'GNA's Countryfest 2012. I have picked up on a pattern with Joe's music. Naked is good! LOL

It may be a Solo Cup as a matter of fact but the talented ACM Duo of The Year Awards winners will be ready for a great day at 1077 'GNA's Countryfest 2012 on July 7th at the Times Union Center.

July 7th will be rocking in Albany with  Countryfest 2012 and Superstar headliner Eric Church. Eric will be joined on the big stage at the Times Union Center by Joe Nichols, Thompson Square, and Josh Thompson too.

Thompson Square are popular in the Albany area and there is a reason for that. They've come here since day one and made friends and fans on a few occasions. I can't wait to see the newly crowned "ACM Vocal Duo Of The Year" at Countryfest 2012 on July 7th at the TU Center.

People resist change. It's just our way and I totally get it. I cried when the Yankees left old Yankee Stadium for the new one. Even though they really needed to. So I get it when people were a little freaked by Countryfest moving to the Times Union Center after being outside for so long. So I decided to go over to the Times Union Center and show you a few reasons why this could be a good thing. R
