Finally, we got an answer from the governor on when we can go to the movies. The answer came on Saturday that this week, movie theaters will open with limited capacity and restrictions. But not all Capital Region theaters may open.
The Capital Region and all of New York state have been without movie theatres for months now. An announcement has been made that would close down Regal Cinemas indefinitely. But for now, they will remain closed in the US and the UK.
The coronavirus pandemic has not allowed us to enjoy the movies in the theaters. The movie theater companies are outlining plans to be back open sometime this month. There will be many changes but it will be nice to have the movie theater experience again.
"A League of Their Own" is one of my favorite movies of all time. In fact, when it came out in 1992, I saw it thirteen times in the theaters. I'm excited because it's coming back to theaters this spring.
Emmett Otter's Jug-Band Christmas is returning to theaters and the mere thought of this immediately puts me in the holiday spirit. Why? Because it's the greatest Christmas movie of all time, plain and simple.
