the rise of the planet of the apes

This weekend is the opening of 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' in theaters. In case you are unaware the premise is through science apes become more evolved and begin to take over Earth. It's a prequel to the 1968 Charlton Heston classic 'Planet of the Apes'. The beauty of this movie based on what I've seen so far they find a scientific reason why this is all very possible.

I love science, and I love science fiction. But not the old rocket ships and aliens stuff, what I'm talking about is the new science fiction. I think it has been made better by the fact that science itself has gotten so amazingly advanced. I really don't know how many people realize what a small step it is from our laboratories to our movie theaters these days...
