January 13, 2012 This is a true story. You can't make these things up. I was more embarrassed than I've been in a very long time, but it convinces me even more that some things happen for a reason. Out of all places, it happened on the campus of St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
January 12, 2012 I had the unique opportunity to visit this amazing facility almost 20 years ago, so I'm interested to see the changes. It's still extremely vivid in my memory. We went room to room and visited patients, the familes of, and committed doctors as well. It should be amazing!
August 11, 2011 All day Wednesday and Thursday, WGNA hosted the Country Cares For St. Jude Kids Radiothon, and as always, you (our listeners) came through. Do you know why?

August 11, 2011 Well, our radiothon continues, and I had the unique opportunity to run down and answer phones this morning for St. Jude. I only did it for an hour. I'm sure our volunteers will have many, many more stories to tell. But I have a quick one that made this very real for me personally, and I wanted to share it.
August 10, 2011 We had a brief outage with our phone bank for the St Jude radiothon that is happening now and tomorrow (Thursday) on WGNA however the phone company is working hard to restore service and with that comes a new number for you call and donate to help out the kids. This year's radiothon is Wednesday the 10th of August through the 11th from 6A - 7P. Please listen, and please give what you can so St. Jude can continue their mission and help families as they seek to end childhood cancer forever. I said when this season of the Celebrity Apprentice started that if John Rich doesn't win the whole thing I am going to boycott the show. Well, no boycott is necessary, as the Rich half of Big & Rich won the whole darn thing!
January 7, 2011 WGNA has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars each year to help the research continue at St. Jude Chlidren's Research Hospital. Since it costs over 1 million dollars a day to keep the facility running, it is very important that we all do what we can to help the cause.
