Happy President's Day! Today we honor a President who loved Country Music. On March 16, 1974 President Richard Nixon appeared at the new home of The Grand Ole Opry, The newly built Grand Ole Opry House at Opryland. The King of Country Music, Roy Acuff welcomed the president on stage with a little singing and a yo-yo lesson.
The other day, I heard a couple of people discussing, almost arguing, about the king of country music. One person said it was George Strait, and the other guy said it was George Jones.
Tim McGraw once announced his interest in running for a political office in the future. Well, CNN recently asked Tim if he was still considering that course, and it sounds like Tim is not quite ready to run for public office.
