After Richie Phillips and I expressed our feelings about missing the days of browsing through Compact Discs, we thought it would be nice to remind music lovers in the Albany Area about a few shops still offering the experience of shopping for CDs and Records.

As a music lover, of all genres, I always enjoyed skimming the CD racks at Barnes and Nobles, Borders, FYE, Strawberries, Best Buy and the Virgin mega-store, a hobby that is now a thing of the past.

The other day Richie Phillips and I both did a story about National Eight Track Tape Day, which was April 11th. I mentioned about how we could play music from the eight track tape cartridges in our cars, but we couldn’t play records. One of our WGNA Facebook fans, Steve Ryan, told me that there was a car record player.
