Not long ago, I did a blog about some Albany area places that I used to go to to eat that have disappeared.
The other day Richie Phillips and I both did a story about National Eight Track Tape Day, which was April 11th. I mentioned about how we could play music from the eight track tape cartridges in our cars, but we couldn’t play records. One of our WGNA Facebook fans, Steve Ryan, told me that there was a car record player.
We’ve all seen places come and go around the Albany area, the place that most of us call home. Some of the places that I used to go to may have been torn down, or they’ve been turned into another business.
I have lived in the Albany area my whole life, and there have been plenty of changes. Even if you haven’t lived in the area for long, I’m sure you’ve seen a good amount of changes. As I was driving into Albany the other day, I started to think about one particular area.
Everyone has their favorite television shows. Mine all happen to be almost older sitcoms.
I absolutely, positively LOVE the cell phone that I have right now. This is not a commercial endorsement, by the way, although we do talk about the phone all the time on the air. I'll leave it at that. But no matter what brand you happen to own, you'll thank you're lucky stars that technology has progressed after seeing this old commercial...

I was reading today about a woman that wrote a book about kissing. "The science of kissing: what our lips are telling us" by Sheril Kirshenbaum. OF course, my first thought was "I should have so written a book about kissing." But she does bring up a really interesting fact in her book.
