Get ready because late tonight and into the early morning hours, you can look to the sky to see a spectacular meteor shower. Here are the details. I love science, especially space and if you are like me, you are going to want to catch this beautiful display in our skies in the early morning hours of Wednesday, August 12th. It depends on how you feel about time. Some could argue that it is very late Tuesday night August 11th. Either way, the Perseid meteor shower will appear in the night sky.

According to newser.com, the skies should be clear enough and the meteor shower should be large enough to see it with the naked eye. There is no need for a telescope or any equipment for that matter. It will require you to either get up extremely early on Wednesday morning or stay up pretty late on Tuesday night to see its peak. The Perseid Meteor Shower is best viewed at 2 am Wednesday, August 12th. It is also recommended that you are away from city lights. You can pretty much see this meteor shower from anywhere.

If you aren't able to get up that early or stay up that late, you should be able to see some of the Perseid Meteor Shower around 9 pm. It is just that the meteor shower will be best later. If you miss the peak time, don't worry, you can still see some meteors for about ten days or so after.

If you plan on watching, there are a couple of tips. Go outside ahead of time to give your eyes a chance to adjust to the darkness. The recommended time is about thirty minutes. So you should also leave your phone in the house too so the light doesn't affect your view.
