A 20-year-old Greenwich man is in trouble with the law.

He was arrested after he was accused of driving while intoxicated, after he had a traffic accident.

On Tuesday, John D. Pettys, Jr. was driving on a road in Washington County. The vehicle that Pettys was driving, allegedly went over the center line and into the lane of oncoming traffic. That’s when he allegedly hit an oncoming New York State Trooper’s car. Petty had a female passenger. They were both uninjured in the accident. The trooper ended up with a few minor injures.

According to the story in the Times Union, in addition to being charged with driving while intoxicated, Pettys also received tickets for Unsafe Speed For Conditions and Failing To Keep Right.
