It's Friday, so it's time once again for me to break out a great country tune and video from the past with this weeks edition of Flashback Friday.

I love breaking out the one hit wonders so I thought I would do that again this week. This time around we go back to 1997 and a top 10 hit from the Sons Of the Desert called "Whatever Comes First".

The band was founded in 1989 in Texas by brothers Drew and Tim Womack. They toured Texas for years until finally getting a record deal in 1997 with Epic Records. They released the album and single "Whatever Comes First" the same year. The tune would peak at #10 on the Billboard charts. The band would never hit the top 10 again, at least not on their own. The band were guest vocalist for the huge # 1 hit by Lee Ann Womack (No relation to Drew and Tim), "I Hope You Dance" in 2000.The song would win a ton of awards as well. The sucess of that song though did not help the band out as they would break up in 2004.

I hope you enjoyed this great tune from the past and be sure to check out what I come up with next week.
