Salute Your ‘Hometown Hero’ on WGNA

WGNA will be kicking off a new program next week where we will team up with County Waste and Latham Ford to celebrate local unsung heroes for their good deeds and honorable work.

We’ve already gotten great responses to our call-out for submissions and will be talking about our first selected “hero” on air and on our website next week. Some of the “heroes” nominated so far include volunteer firefighters, a Marine Corps. veteran, a woman fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis and a K-9 officer.

We’ll announce one new local “hero” each week, so if you know someone who fits the bill, nominate them today here.
