Wrapping up another week means it's time to break out another great song and video from the past with this week's edition of Flashback Friday. This week I decided to break out a one hit wonder that you may have forgotten about. We go back to 1991 for the Top 10 Hit for Ray Kennedy "What A Way To Go".

"What A Way To Go" was Ray's first single from his second album of the same name. His first album was released 11 years before that with no success. The single would be Ray's one and only Top 40 hit peaking at #10.

Ray is a very accomplished musician as he played most of the instruments on the "What A Way To Go" album. He also wrote or co-wrote all the songs on the album.  These days Ray acts as a producer for albums. He has produced for Don Henley and in 2005 he recieved a Grammy for Best Contemporary Folk Album for Producing Steve Earle's "The Revolution Starts Now". He has also served as a recording engineer on several albums which is how he got his start in the business by building his own studio.

Ray's Father, Ray Sr., also has a claim to fame for being the former National Vice President of Sears and the man behind the concept of the Discover Card.
