I'm not going to tell you who I'm voting for or why. However I will say one of my biggest problems with our President is he never seems to take a stand and when he does he lets his opposition have their way. So I am excited to hear him take a stand on gay marriage and it doesn't hurt I agree with him. Back in 2008 Obama said he supported civil unions for same sex couples but not "marriage". Yesterday while talking to Robin Roberts on "Good Morning America" the president said

"I've been going through an evolution on this issue.  I've always been adamant that gay and lesbian Americans should be treated fairly and equally. At a certain point, I just concluded that for me, personally, it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same-sex couples should be able to get married."

Here are a few of the reactions from famous people on Twitter:

Ellen DeGeneres:  "Thank you President Obama for your beautiful and brave words.  I'm overwhelmed."
