We have come to the end of another week, which means it's time for another trip back to the past and revisit a song you may have forgotten about with this weeks edition of Flashback Friday. This week, we go back to 1996 for a top 10 hit from Canadian country artitst Paul Brandt called "My Heart Has A History"

This was Paul's Debut single from his album "Calm Before The Storm". It reached number 5 on the Billboard country charts here in the States and number one in his native Canada. Paul would follow this up with his biggest hit in the States, the tender ballad "I Do", which hit number two. After "I Do", Paul wouldn't reach the top 10 again in the U.S., but would continue to hit the top of the charts in Canada.  He is extremely popular in Canada winning numerous Canadian Country Music Awards and Junos (Canada's Version of the Grammys).  He is currently working on a new album set to be released later this year.

When he's not touring or recording music, Brandt and his wife are heavily involved in programs such as Samaritan's Purse and World Vision. He also does a lot of work with terminally ill children.

Hope you enjoyed this blast from the past and as always if you have a suggestion for a song or artist you would like to see featured, put them in the suggestion box below.
