First of all, I hope you are hunkered down, and all your hatches are battened during this hurricane-turned-tropical whatever they want to call it.  It doesn't really matter what you call it anymore.  It's still pretty darn serious, and you don't want to do stupid things just to prove that you're super brave or super macho or superman (or woman).  And please, Lord, don't do what these people have done!

According to chief meteorologist Steve Caporizzo, the Capital Region of New York should prepare for flooding and power outages when Hurricane Irene arrives on Sunday. In addition to Steve's warnings, Governor Andrew Cuomo has already declared a State of Emergency for New York.
