As the nation continues to mourn the loss of the victims in the Boston bombings and pray for the wounded survivors, flags are flying half-staff.

The New York Daily News reports that President Obama has declared that flags on federal buildings fly half-staff through April 20 to honor the victims.  Meanwhile Governor Cuomo has also ordered all flags in New York State to fly half-staff on Wednesday, April 17, 2013.

Cuomo issued the following statement posted in the New York Daily News following the tragedy.

"I join with my fellow New Yorkers and Americans in mourning the loss of the innocent lives that were taken in yesterday’s terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon. I extend my deepest sympathy to the family and friends of the victims, as well as the residents of Boston.”
