Molly Stark Kids Change The Words To Dierks Bentley’s “5150” To Sing About Their School In Bennington, Vermont – Reading, Writing, and Rhyming [AUDIO-VIDEO]
What a group! What a school! (I get yelled at with these articles for using the exclamation point too many times, but I don’t care. What a FANTASTIC experience going to Molly Stark Elementary School in Bennington!!!!!!!!!! (So there!!!!!!!)
Cathy Reed along with Ms. Setzer (not Seltzer), and Mrs. Mattison have my sincere gratitude for letting me come into their class and help them create a “jingle” about their school. You can just feel the pride that they have, and it’s a great thing to see.
Here’s their song – a parody of “5150” by Dierks Bentley. Not only do these kids know their country music, they know how to write a good parody too. (Lyrics to follow)

Lyrics to Molly Stark Song
Parody of “5150” by Dierks Bentley
The teachers help you learn, and that can help your brain.
You won’t believe all the knowledge that we gain!
Math, reading, homework, too- that drives us insane!
But we do not complain!
Here are things you should know,
Rain or shine, we love to go,
To Molly Stark!
To get good marks!
Field day, picture day,
Everyday we get to play,
Miss Setzer, Mattison and Reed,
Help us succeed.
We really love our school,
Molly Stark is really cool!
We’re here today, on GNA!
Wow – I agree with this sign whole heartedly! All the classes worked so well together. I hope you all had as good of a time as I did. Thanks, Molly Stark. (Oh, and thanks for the very nice gifts as well
