2005- Mindy McCready is taken to a Nashville hospital after an ex-boyfriend broke into her Bellevue home to beat and choke her. The ex, William McKnight, is charged with attempted murder.

2004- 'You'll Think Of Me' goes to No. 1 for Keith Urban.

1982- Willie Nelson is at the top of the charts with 'Always On My Mind.'

1961- Faron Young takes 'Hello Walls' to No. 1.  The song is written by a new artist named Willie Nelson.


Jack Blanchard, 1942.  Jack marries Misty Morgan and together they have a novelty hit with 'The Tennessee Birdwalk.'

Ricky Nelson, 1940.  The son of bandleader Ozzie Nelson and vocalist Harriet Hilliard, Ricky crosses over to Country in 1958 with the Top 10 hits 'Stood Up' 'My Bucket's Got A Hole In It' and 'Poor Little Fool.'  Ricky dies in a plane crash in 1985 at the age of 45.
