Latham, Are You Ready for a Sonic?

We've been hearing rumors of a Sonic opening here in the Capital Region, it became official in December when the company announced 8 new drive-ins would be opened throughout the area.

The first location will open in Latham this spring, but the specific address has yet to be announced.

The other locations will be in Albany, Schenectady, Troy, Saratoga Springs, Clifton Park and Amsterdam.

Sonic has been pursuing sites all over upstate New York.

It has already opened restaurants in Watertown, Rochester and Middletown, with others coming to Buffalo and Syracuse.

Including Albany, the company now has agreements for franchises to develop 27 locations upstate.

Sonic is based in Oklahoma City and is the largest drive-in restaurant chain in the country with over 3,500 locations!
