2005- Lost Highway Records releases Willie Nelson's reggae album 'Countryman.' The cover features a drawing of a marijuana plant, except in Wal-Mart, where the artwork is a palm tree.

1980- Charley Pride's remake of Hank Williams' 'You Win Again' hits No. 1 on the Billboard country chart.  Charley also has a hit by covering Hank's song 'Kaw-Liga.'

Birthdays

Kimberly Perry, 1983. The lead singer in the family trio The Band Perry- 'If I Die Young' 'You Lie.'  The band says that they grew up on music because "Daddy rocked us to sleep with the Rolling Stones and Mama woke us up with Loretta Lynn."
