Kelly Clarkson and I Completely Agree on One Very Important Thing

She's a queen and a goddess and I love everything she does... and now I can say that she is my soul sista when it comes to one important life decision... neither of us will ever be having another baby again!

You see, I love, love, love my babies, but pregnancy ruined me!  And I don't ever want to do it again.  I know that there are some amazing women out there who can make babies with little to know trouble at all.  But, that is not me.

After her second pregnancy, Kelly Clarkson, like me, also knew she was done having kids.

How done?  So done, she made sure both she AND her husband Brandon Blackstock were fixed!  She had her tubes tied and she made him get a vasectomy.

In a recent interview she said -

"I literally told my OBGYN on the table while open, 'If I get pregnant again, I will find you!'"

Funny, because when the doctor asked me if, at age 27, I was really sure that I wanted my tubes tied, I said...

"I've seriously never been more sure of anything in my entire life."

Kelly and Brandon have a 2-year-old daughter named River, and a 6-month-old son named Remi.  Both of her pregnancies were really terrible.

She said -

"It's horrible.  Nothing is beautiful, nothing is magical . . . I will remind my children every day of their lives what I [went through]."

And while I don't remind my kids how terrible my pregnancies were every day of their lives, I do sometimes wonder if all of us need to be talking more about how much a woman goes through while pregnant.  Maybe we, as a society need to be honest about how it really is, and then stop shaming people for disliking it!  I'm so happy that Kelly spoke out about how hard she had it.  It made me feel more open about raising my hand and saying, "Yep! Mine sucked too!"
