Albany Area Flooding Update – Jumpin’ Jacks Flooded, Lock 7 May Fail

As of 2:30pm, we have learned that Jumpin' Jacks and Dinosaur BBQ are flooded, Lock 7 may fail, and the New York State Police are reporting that a runaway barge, with a crane on the front, is heading towards the twin bridges.  [UPDATE] Officials have harnessed the barge and are securing it. Bridges are reopened. Traffic is stopped in both directions.  This is causing severe congestion on I-87 in both directions.  In addition, the Route 9 Halfmoon Bridge has also closed.
