Actor James Gandolfini has died. The ‘Sopranos’ star was vacationing with family in Italy on Wednesday when he reportedly suffered a heart attack at about 10PM local time. In addition to his longtime fans, several country music stars took to Twitter to express sorrow for the loss of Tony Soprano.

New reports indicate that Gandolfini’s 13-year-old son Michael was the first to alert hotel staff to the medical emergency. Wife Deborah Lin, nine-month-old daughter Liliana and several other family members were also on the trip, according to US Weekly. Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts, Thompson Square and Jo Dee Messina were amongst the first to share their thoughts on the shocking death of a man so well-known and loved in movie circles.
