Women's Build-a-Bash is definitely a fun-filled evening happening at the Schenectady Armory on Saturday, September 19 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and you can hear the Community Relations Manager Karen McLane explain the purpose behind it.

Karen McLane was a guest on Capital Region Sunday this past week (which airs on all of our Albany TownSquare radio stations each Sunday at 6am)  and gave a very convincing argument to attend this very special event.   We all know the great work that Habitat for Humanity has done  to give underprivileged the chance for homeownership. Well now you can see how they've taken fundraising to the next level with a nite suitable for all ages.

In this interview, Mrs. McLane tore apart the long-standing myth that it's always testosterone infused men in tool belts who are solely responsible for constructing things. I guess she has not only shown that women have finally broken the glass ceiling in this arena, but also demonstrated that they know full well how to install a new one.

The following is a re-broadcast of my interview with Karen,  and at the bottom of this blog you will see their official poster for the event. We sincerely hope that you can show up and support this.  It looks like a really great time with a very serious purpose behind it .
