We've come to the end of another week. So here we go again, time to take you back a few years for a fond country music memory from the past with this weeks installment of Flashback Friday.

We go back 15 years for this next one. Back when Gary Allan was a "Hat Act". It was his debut single and his first top 10 hit, "Her Man".

This was Gary's debut single from his 1996 album "Used Heart For Sale". It was released in August of that year and peaked at #7 on the Billlboard Charts. It was actually recorded first by the legendary Waylon Jennings back in 1990 but never released as a single.

Gary would follow this up with a trio of tunes that never broke the top 40. One of those tunes, "From Where I'm Sitting" was co-written by Garth Brooks.

Gary of course would find much more success on the charts with hit's like "Tough Little Boys", "Nothing On But The Radio" and "Watching Airplanes", just to name a few. Last year, he had vocal chord surgery and had to take some time off, but he kept himself busy.  He recently opened a men's clothing store and will hopefully be working on a new album in the near future. I'm a big fan of Gary and can't wait to hear some new stuff.
