One person is dead after a small plane crashed in Clifton Park, New York on Wednesday Morning, August 15, 2012.

UPDATE @ 11:15am:WRGB reports:

State Police have confirmed that one person is dead and another has been critically injured after a plane crash landed in Clifton Park.  The single-engine plane had taken off from Albany International around 7:30 a.m. before crashing into the front yard of a home on Van Vranken Road near Crescent Road in the area of the Colonie Reservoir. State Police say the plane may have experienced engine trouble before crashing.  The make and model of the plane isn't yet known. Two people were on board at the time. Van Vranken Road is currently shut down.

YNN is reporting that the person who died was a passenger in the plane.  As of now, no one in the neighborhood is reported injured.

CONFIRMED: One killed when a small plane crashed in front yard on Van Vranken Rd. in Clifton Park around 7:30 a.m. this morning.

YNN reports, Emergency crews are on the scene of a crash involving what appears to be a small plane in Saratoga County. The Vischer Ferry Fire Department said it happened on Van Vranken Road in the hamlet.

WRGB states, According to Saratoga County Sheriff's Department officials, a plane has crashed landed near the Colonie Reservoir in Clifton Park.Officials say it happened around 7:30 a.m. in the area of Crescent Road and Van Vranken Road in Clifton Park.Rescue crews are still at the scene.
