Westview Senior Center Hosting Senior Talent Show
Albany, NY… On Wednesday, November 12, 2014 Senior Services of Albany’s Westview Senior Center will be hosting a senior talent show from 5:45PM – 7:00PM. A community dinner will be served by Senior Services of Albany prior to the show; seniors are welcome to reserve a spot by calling Westview Senior Center at 518-482-2120. Throughout the evening the talent show will feature performances by seniors from both Westview Senior Center and the Newgate Social Adult Day Program. Talents include vocalists singing country, musical theater, light opera, jazz and soul, as well as a saxophone and flute player, poetry readers, artists, and even a clothing designer!
Senior Services of Albany provides seniors with many vital services in the Capital Region, including transportation, grocery shopping assistance, day programs, friendly home visits, health insurance counseling, health and wellness programs, Meals on Wheels and so much more. As one of the largest Meals on Wheels programs in upstate New York, Senior Services of Albany’s staff and volunteers deliver more than 800 meals each day and their tiny Meals on Wheels kitchen produces almost 250,000 meals a year. It is our hope that our annual Senior Expo will create a greater awareness of the growing needs of our seniors in the Capital Region and provide solutions for as many seniors and caregivers as possible.
