Additional Information

Nearly 1,200 runners are expected to participate in the Silks & Satins 5K Run for Special Olympics New York on July 20, 2013, ranging from children to some of the most elite runners in the northeast.  This fast, flat course winds through the beautiful tree-lined streets of Saratoga Springs, beginning at the intersection of East St. and George Ave. with a breathtaking view of the thoroughbreds as they start their morning warm-up.

Runners may register ahead of time online at specialolympicsny.kintera.org/silksandsatins, or they can do so on race day between 6:00am and 7:30am.  Participants will enjoy breakfast and refreshments provided by Price Chopper after their run, t-shirts and goodie bags.  Sponsors for this year’s event include Price Chopper, Townsquare Media, TrustCo Bank, NYSID, Saratoga Casino & Raceway and Stone Industries.

Volunteers are still needed to fill key roles for this event!  If you are interested in volunteering please contact Michelle Mumma at mmumma@nyso.org or at 518-388-0790 x109.
