Admission to the Troy Pig Out is free - and samples are only $1 per sample! The festival   hours are from 11AM - 10PM on Saturday and 11AM - 4PM on Sunday. The Troy Pig Out is held in Riverfront Park\, Troy NY for two days full of music\, activities for kids\, demonstrations\, and of course the best BBQ around!         The Kansas City BBQ Society sanctioned judges will be choosing from over 30 teams all competing for “Victory” - a life sized golden pig that is the grand prize trophy. Prizes for this BBQ competition are valued over $5\,000! You can watch the BBQ pros prepare their masterpieces\, and also feel free to ask them questions.         Being around all of that great smelling food will certainly make you hungry too - The Pig Out has BBQ vendors to keep you full with great smoked and grilled ribs\, pulled pork\, chicken\, brisket\, and everything else that makes BBQ great. Rumor is that Dinosaur Barbecue will be making an appearance too.         This year will feature live music including bluegrass\, Irish\, blues\, and more\, all day long. Saturday night features a fireworks show over the Hudson River! Barbecue chefs will be giving demonstrations all day Saturday as well in the Troy Pig Out cook’s tent.         Sunday is all about the New York State Championship - you can watch the pros compete for the title of grand champion while enjoying more live music and BBQ throughout the day.
