Davy Jones Of The Monkees Dies At 66 [VIDEOS]

One of the members of the legendary TV rock band of the 60's The Monkees, Davy Jones has died at the age of 66 due to a heart attack.

Jones was cast as part of the fictional band for the Monkees TV show back in 1965 along with Mickey Dolenz, Peter Tork and Mike Nesmith. Jones is survived by his wife Jessica and 4 Daughters.

Although I wasn't born when the show originally aired, I became a huge fan when MTV and Nickelodeon started showing the old shows in the 80's. It was like they were a brand new group in my eyes. I discovered some of my sisters old Vinyl albums and loved all the songs such as "Last Train To Clarksville", "Daydream Believer" and my all time favorite "(I'm Not Your) Steppin Stone".

Rest In Peace Davy, I may have to break out some of my Monkees albums tonight!
