Whether it’s a suspicious or strong odor regarding the crude oil, if you’re in Albany County, you’ll soon be able to report it by calling the hotline, which will soon be in operation.

This is a big concern for people that live near the Port Of Albany, and for people that live anywhere in the Capital Region where the rail traffic might be carrying the crude oil.

In the story from WNYT, some of the members of the newly appointed panel of representatives will include Albany County Sheriff, Craig Apple and Albany Police Chief Steven Krokoff, all chosen by Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan.
